Shahid Afridi: “Head coach Mike Hesson is weak and cannot make decisions under pressure. He is either scared of the media and social media or not simply capable of coaching”

Iconic Pakistan power-hitter Shahid Afridi has taken a shot at white-ball head coach Mike Hesson, saying he is “weak” and might not be capable of coaching.

Afridi expressed concern over the team’s recent performances and raised doubts about whether Hesson can make decisions under pressure.

He further suggested that Hesson may be scared of scrutiny from the media and social media, given the constant criticism and tough questions directed his way.

“Head coach Mike Hesson is weak and cannot make decisions under pressure. He is either scared of the media and social media or not simply capable of coaching,” Afridi was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X.

Pakistan are currently taking on the West Indies in a two-Test series in Trinidad and Tobago.

They will then travel to England to play a three-Test series from August 19 to September 13.
