Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan has interestingly revealed that his ideal batsman is Ahmed Shehzad.
Explaining his choice, Farhan said he grew up watching Shehzad and continues to seek advice from the 34-year-old.
Farhan has emerged as a key member of Pakistan’s T20I side and has been their standout performer as of late.
He was particularly impressive in the 2026 T20 World Cup, where he finished as the highest run-scorer with 383 runs in seven matches, which included two centuries and two fifties, at an average of 76.60 and a strike-rate of 160.25.
“My ideal batter is Ahmed Shehzad, I grew up watching him. I often go to him for guidance. People may ask why I’m mentioning Ahmed’s name, but I am very honest about it,” the 30-year-old was quoted as saying on Facebook.
Farhan wasn’t picked for Pakistan’s upcoming Test series against the West Indies and England.
The men in green will play two Tests against the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago from July 25 to August 6 before travelling to England for three Tests between August 19 and September 13.
