Tariq has been lethal with the ball so far in his international career as he has taken 18 wickets in nine matches at an average of 11.16 and an economy rate of 6.66.

During the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL), the 28-year-old claimed nine wickets in 10 games for the Quetta Gladiators at an average of 33.55 and an economy rate of 7.55.

“He is a good spinner,” Harbhajan, a spinner himself, was quoted as saying by A Sports.
