Rashid Latif: “We used to say he wasn’t a T20 player, but the way he has changed his approach, he has improved a lot. Now he looks like a proper T20 player”

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Rashid Latif has praised T20I captain Salman Ali Agha, saying he now looks like a “proper T20 player”.
Latif had previously been critical of Salman, even questioning his place in the T20I side.
However, the 32-year-old’s recent performances – including several composed innings under pressure when the team has been in difficult situations – have prompted a change in Latif’s assessment, with the former captain acknowledging that Salman has now justified his place in the squad.
“We used to say he wasn’t a T20 player, but the way he has changed his approach, he has improved a lot. Now he looks like a proper T20 player,” he was quoted as saying by Khel Shel.
Salman recently took part in Pakistan’s two-Test series against Bangladesh and scored 176 runs, which included two fifties, at an average of 44.
He then featured in the three-match ODI series against Australia, but failed to have the same kind of impact as he was restricted to 28 runs at an average of 9.33.
Next up for Pakistan will be two Tests against the West Indies, which will take place in Trinidad and Tobago from July 25 to August 6.
They will then travel to England to play three Tests from August 19 to September 13.
