Mickey Arthur has revealed that he was “named the best coach in Pakistan cricket”.
Arthur served as head coach from May 2016 to August 2019 and later returned as the team’s director of cricket from April 2023 to January 2024.
The 58-year-old said he thoroughly enjoyed his time with the national side and praised the players for showing a great deal of respect towards their coaches.
“I was named the best coach in Pakistan cricket. I spent the best time as a coach in Pakistan cricket, I was given the environment to coach according to my own will. Pakistani cricketers greatly respect their coaches,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X.
The Pakistan team recently toured Bangladesh for two Tests in Mirpur and Sylhet, but they ended up being whitewashed 2-0.
Next up for them will be three ODIs against Australia, which will be held in Rawalpindi and Lahore from May 30 to June 4.
