Rao Iftikhar Anjum: “Fast bowlers like Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis are impossible to find again”

Pakistan Under-19 bowling coach Rao Iftikhar Anjum believes it will be impossible to find any fast bowlers like the legendary duo of Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis.
Wasim and Waqar formed a formidable bowling partnership and proved to be a nightmare for opposition teams for many years.
Wasim, known as the Sultan of Swing, played 104 Tests and took 414 wickets at an average of 23.62.
He is also the second-highest wicket-taker in ODI history, claiming 502 wickets in 356 matches at an average of 23.52.
As for Waqar, he picked up 373 wickets in 87 Tests at an average of 23.56.
He also played 262 ODIs and snapped up 416 wickets at an average of 23.84.
“Fast bowlers like Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis are impossible to find again,” Anjum was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X.
The Pakistan team are now taking on Bangladesh in a two-Test series, which got underway on May 8 in Mirpur.
The 2nd Test will begin on May 16 in Sylhet.
