Pakistan top-order batsman Fakhar Zaman has praised big-hitting talent Hasan Nawaz, saying his “six-hitting ability is one of the best I’ve ever seen”.
Nawaz has demonstrated his power-hitting prowess on multiple occasions but is currently working to regain his spot in the national team, having not featured for the men in green since November 2025.
Zaman added that what makes the 23-year-old even more special is his versatility, noting that he can “bat anywhere in the order”.
“Hasan Nawaz is the kind of player who can bat anywhere in the order and you need those types of players in your team, whether it’s at the top or down the order he’s truly gifted. His six-hitting ability is one of the best I’ve ever seen,” he was quoted as saying on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Nawaz has been playing for the Quetta Gladiators in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and amassed 291 runs in 10 matches, which included two fifties, at an average of 32.33 and a strike-rate of 134.10.
The Islamabad-born cricketer also took two wickets at an average of 27 and an economy rate of 10.80.
As for Zaman, he represented the Lahore Qalandars and accumulated 401 runs in eight games, which included a century and four fifties, at an average of 57.28 and a strike-rate of 151.89.
The Pakistan team will be back in action soon as they will take on Bangladesh in a two-Test series, which will be played in Mirpur and Sylhet from May 8 to 20.
