Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan has revealed that he often turns to Babar Azam for advice, saying the star batsman is always willing to help and guide him.

Farhan praised the former Pakistan captain for his mentorship and willingness to share knowledge, noting that Azam always takes time to explain things in a way that helps him improve as a player.

The 29-year-old has been in impressive form for Pakistan in T20I cricket recently, establishing himself as one of the team’s most reliable performers at the top of the order. His consistency has even sparked calls for his inclusion in other formats.

“Whenever I need help, I go to Babar bhai and he explains things to me,” he was quoted as saying by Khel Shel on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Farhan and Azam are currently representing Pakistan in the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup, where Farhan has been in outstanding form.

The Charsadda native has enjoyed a dominant run with the bat so far, scoring 220 runs in four matches, which includes a career-best knock of 100 not out, at an average of 73.33 and a strike-rate of 164.17.

Azam, meanwhile, has amassed 66 runs in four games at an average of 22 and a strike-rate of 115.78.

Pakistan are through to the Super Eights after winning their group stage matches against the Netherlands, United States of America and Namibia. Their sole loss came against India.

The men in green will be back in action on February 21 when they take on New Zealand in Colombo.
