Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain has expressed disappointment over his wicket haul during the recent first-class season, admitting he “didn’t get the number of wickets” he was aiming for.

Hasnain represented Sialkot Region in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (QeA Trophy) and took 21 wickets in six matches, which included a five-wicket haul, at an average of 25.42.

Following that, Hasnain turned out for Sahir Associates in the President’s Trophy Grade-I competition, where he claimed six wickets in two matches at an average of 35.66.

Even though he felt he bowled well, the 25-year-old admitted he could have done a lot better.

“I feel I bowled well, but unfortunately, I didn’t get the number of wickets I wanted,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The Pakistan team are currently taking part in the 2026 T20 World Cup, but Hasnain was not included in the squad for the tournament.

The men in green have made it through to the Super Eights after winning three games in the group stage – against the Netherlands, United States of America and Namibia – and losing just one, which came against India.

Pakistan’s first game in the Super Eights will be against New Zealand on February 21 in Colombo.
