Pakistan opening batsman Sahibzada Farhan is determined to reduce the number of dot balls he plays in T20Is.
In order to accomplish this, he is working on improving his strike rotation so that he can ensure the scoreboard keeps ticking along when he faces deliveries that can’t be hit for boundaries.
Farhan has become a regular fixture in Pakistan’s T20I side thanks to a string of consistent performances at the top of the order.
As an opener, he plays a crucial role in laying a solid platform for the middle order batsmen to build on later in the innings.
“I’m working on my strike rotation and trying to minimise my dot balls,” the 29-year-old from Charsadda was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Farhan is currently involved in the 2026 T20 World Cup, where he has been Pakistan’s best batsman by far with 120 runs in three matches, which includes a top score of 73, at an average of 40 and a strike-rate of 157.89.
Pakistan kicked off the tournament with victories over the Netherlands and United States of America before suffering a defeat to arch-rivals India.
They will look to bounce back when they go up against Namibia on February 18 in Colombo.
