Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan has revealed that he regularly turns to senior batsman Fakhar Zaman whenever he faces an issue, describing the big-hitting left-hander as someone who “gives the best advice.”
Farhan has developed into a key member of Pakistan’s T20I side, putting together a series of solid performances at the top of the order.
His impressive form has even prompted calls for him to be tested in other formats, with the 29-year-old himself expressing interest in playing Test cricket.
“Whenever I face any issue in cricket I talk to Fakhar, Fakhar gives the best advice,” the Charsadda native was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Farhan was recently involved in Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Australia and made five runs in two games at an average of 2.50.
He has done a lot better in the ongoing 2026 T20 World Cup, amassing 120 runs in three matches, which includes a top score of 73, at an average of 40 and a strike-rate of 157.89.
Pakistan started their campaign with wins over the Netherlands and United States of America before losing to India.
Their next match will be against Namibia on February 18 in Colombo.
