Sialkot head coach Mansoor Amjad has lavished praise on Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Ali’s work ethic, saying even England seamer Chris Jordan called it “insane”.

The 33-year-old has featured sporadically for Pakistan in recent years but remains a domestic standout.

During the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (QeA Trophy), Ali ranked as the fourth-highest wicket-taker, claiming 32 scalps in nine matches for Sialkot Region, which included two five-wicket hauls, at an average of 26.84.

Ali is now representing Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited in the President’s Trophy Grade-I and has snared nine wickets in four games at an average of 31.

“His work ethic is incredible. Chris Jordan even tweeted about it, calling him ‘insane’,” Amjad told PakPassion.

Ali did not feature in Pakistan’s recent T20I tour of Sri Lanka and wasn’t part of the squad for the three-match T20I series against Australia in Lahore.

He also didn’t make the cut for the 2026 T20 World Cup, where Pakistan will begin their campaign against the Netherlands on February 7 in Colombo.
