Former Pakistan seamer Tanvir Ahmed has launched a scathing critique of fast bowler Naseem Shah, claiming the youngster’s bowling, fitness and attitude are all zero.

He went further in his assessment, also branding the 22-year-old’s approach and fielding as zero.

Naseem has struggled for impact in recent outings as during Pakistan’s recent T20I tour of Sri Lanka, he took one wicket in one match at an average of 35 and an economy rate of 11.66.

Prior to this, Sri Lanka came to Pakistan and Naseem claimed two wickets in two ODIs at an average of 59.

In the subsequent T20I tri-series, which also featured Zimbabwe, he picked up one wicket in one game at an average of 31 and an economy rate of 7.75.

“Naseem shah 22 years old 0 fitness, 0 attitude, 0 approach, 0 fielding standard, 0 bowling,” Tanvir said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Pakistan are now taking on Australia in a three-match T20I series in Lahore, but Naseem was not part of the playing XI for the first match, which the men in green won by 22 runs.

The 2nd T20I will be held on January 31.

After the T20I series, Pakistan will be involved in the 2026 T20 World Cup, which will be played in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8.

Pakistan’s opening game will be against the Netherlands on February 7 in Colombo.
