Babar Azam named Mohammad Rizwan as the batsman who tries to hit a six off the first ball

Pakistan batsman Babar Azam picked wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan as the player who tries to hit a six off the first ball they face.
Rizwan stands out as one of the calmest and most composed figures in the national side, and is valued equally for his reliability with the bat.
Azam’s selection may surprise many, particularly given the array of power-hitters the men in green have, including Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, and Mohammad Haris.
“Mohammad Rizwan,” Azam was quoted as saying by Khel Shel on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Rizwan recently featured in Pakistan’s home series against South Africa and started with 126 runs in two Tests, which included a top score of 75, at an average of 31.50.
He wasn’t selected for the T20I series, but did play the three ODIs and scored 91 runs, which included a top score of 55, at an average of 45.50.
Rizwan had an even better showing with the bat in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka as he amassed 117 runs, which included two fifties, at an average of 117.
Pakistan then faced Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in a T20I tri-series, but Rizwan was not picked for it.
He also didn’t make the cut for Pakistan’s tour of Sri Lanka, which will consist of three T20Is that will be held in Dambulla from January 7 to 11.
Even though he won’t be in action for Pakistan, Rizwan is currently playing competitive cricket as he is representing the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League (BBL).
So far, the 33-year-old has accumulated 52 runs in three matches at an average of 17.33 and a strike-rate of 108.33.
