Rashid Latif: “If proper work is done on Ghazi Ghori’s wicketkeeping and batting, he could become a quality wicketkeeper-batsman. But he needs consistent supervision”

Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif reckons Ghazi Ghori has what it takes to become a “quality wicketkeeper-batsman.”
He noted that Ghori has to put in a lot of hard work to improve his game and will need to be constantly supervised by coaches too.
Latif believes the 22-year-old could rise through the ranks and stake his claim as Pakistan’s next wicketkeeper-batsman – provided he’s willing to elevate his performance.
“If proper work is done on Ghazi Ghori’s wicketkeeping and batting, he could become a quality wicketkeeper-batsman. But he needs consistent supervision,” he was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
Ghori was recently in action in the President’s Cup Grade-I (1-Day) competition, where he represented the State Bank of Pakistan and scored 115 runs in six matches, which included a top score of 58, at an average of 28.75.
Since the Karachi native has yet to play international cricket, he didn’t feature in Pakistan’s home series against South Africa, ODI series against Sri Lanka, and T20I tri-series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
Pakistan will be back in action really soon as they will go up against Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series in Dambulla from January 7 to 11.
