Ahmed Shehzad: “Haris Rauf performed in patches in Australia. He performed well in Australia, but his performance has been very poor for the last two-and-a-half years. He has not given any match-winning performance”

Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad has taken aim at express bowler Haris Rauf, saying his performance “has been very poor for the last two-and-a-half years”.
Rauf has been one of Pakistan’s go-to bowlers in white-ball cricket, but Shehzad pointed out that he has not contributed any match-winning performances.
Recently, Rauf was involved in Pakistan’s home series against South Africa, where he went wicketless in the one ODI he played.
The 32-year-old had a lot more success in the ODI series against Sri Lanka, picking up nine wickets in three games at an average of 18.33.
Next up for the men in green was a T20I tri-series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, but Rauf did not take part in it.
Even though the Rawalpindi Express was exceptional in the ODIs against Sri Lanka, Shehzad doesn’t think he has been good enough overall.
“Haris Rauf performed in patches in Australia. He performed well in Australia, but his performance has been very poor for the last two-and-a-half years. He has not given any match-winning performance,” Shehzad told Sports Tak.
Rauf is now in action in the Big Bash League (BBL) and has claimed five wickets in two matches for the Melbourne Stars at an average of 12.20 and an economy rate of 7.62.
