Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha has praised the impact of all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz, saying “it feels like you’re playing with 12 players.”

Nawaz has become an integral member of the ODI and T20I squads since returning to the national team and has put up a number of impressive performances with both the bat and ball.

During Pakistan’s series against South Africa, he took four wickets in three T20Is at an average of 20.75 and an economy rate of 7.54.

He also scored 36 runs at an average of 18 and a strike-rate of 171.42.

As for the ODI series, the 31-year-old claimed three wickets in three matches at an average of 37.66.

Batting-wise, he made 68 runs, which included a top score of 59, at an average of 34.

After the South Africa series, Pakistan played three ODIs against Sri Lanka and Nawaz ended up with one wicket in two games at an average of 92.

In regards to his batting, he only batted once, scoring 36 not out.

“People misunderstand Mohammad Nawaz. When he bats, he plays like a proper batter; when he bowls, he bowls like a proper bowler. It feels like you’re playing with 12 players,” Salman was quoted as saying on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Pakistan are now facing Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in a T20I tri-series, which will take place until November 29.

In the opening match against Zimbabwe, Nawaz scored an unbeaten 21 and took two wickets.
