Shan Masood: “If you look at the WTC cycle for the last period, I am among the top run-scorers for Pakistan”

Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood has defended his form with the bat, pointing out that he was among the country’s top-scorers in the 2023-2025 World Test Championship cycle.
During that period, Masood was Pakistan’s third-highest run-scorer in the longest format, making 880 runs in 14 Tests, which included two centuries and five fifties, at an average of 33.84.
Most recently, the 36-year-old led the men in green in a two-Test series against South Africa and had a strong campaign as he accumulated 170 runs, which included two half-centuries, at an average of 42.50.
“If you look at the WTC cycle for the last period, I am among the top run-scorers for Pakistan,” he was quoted as saying by NDTV.
After the two Tests, Pakistan and South Africa played three T20Is and three ODIs.
Currently, the men in green are in action against Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series, whch they lead 1-0.
Following this, they will go up against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in a T20I tri-series from November 18 to 29.
