Salman Ali Agha: “I am very happy for him. Knowing him for several years, he has been working hard on his game and [I am] really happy for him”
Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha is glad to see all-rounder Hussain Talat reaping the rewards after “working hard on his game.”
Talat recently represented Pakistan in the 2025 Asia Cup and scored 46 runs in four matches at an average of 15.33 and a strike-rate of 92.
He also claimed two wickets at an average of nine and an economy rate of six.
Having known Talat for a long time, Salman is overjoyed to witness the 29-year-old’s successful comeback to the team.
“I am very happy for him. Knowing him for several years, he has been working hard on his game and [I am] really happy for him,” he was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Pakistan are now taking on South Africa and just finished playing a two-Test series, where Salman amassed 170 runs, which included a top score of 93, at an average of 42.50.
The men in green and the Proteas then played a three-match T20I series, where Salman struck 35 runs at an average of 17.50 and a strike-rate of 106.06.
Both sides are currently involved in a three-match ODI series, where Pakistan hold a 1-0 lead.
In the 1st ODI, Salman scored 62 runs off 71 balls, which included five boundaries and a six.
As for Talat, he made 22 runs.
After their series against South Africa, Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series from November 11 to 15, before joining a T20I tri-series with Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe from November 17 to 29.
