Pakistan left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir believes all-rounder Hussain Talat should get more opportunities in the future as he can bolster the middle order.

Talat was recently in action in the 2025 Asia Cup and scored 46 runs in four matches at an average of 15.33 and a strike-rate of 92.

He also had a solid impact with the ball, taking two wickets at an average of nine and an economy rate of six.

Aware of the 29-year-old’s all-round abilities with both bat and ball, Amir believes the selectors and team management ought to keep backing him and offer him a fair chance to demonstrate his skills.

“I think Hussain Talat should play. If you look at his performances in the PSL recently, he was outstanding against our spinners at Quetta. He’s a proper batsman and he can be beneficial in the middle order,” Amir was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.
