Pakistan all-rounder Hussain Talat confirmed he has been working on his bowling as he knows opposition teams “will go after me.”
Aware that he will have a target on his back since he is not a specialist bowler, Talat is determined to improve his bowling so that he can have a greater impact in matches.
The 29-year-old was recently in action in the 2025 Asia Cup, where he took two wickets in four games at an average of nine and an economy rate of six.
He also scored 46 runs at an average of 15.33 and a strike-rate of 92.
“I was working on my bowling with the bowling coach. We all know that teams will go after me, so I have to back my plans. If I can bowl two good overs for the team, that will help,” Talat was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Pakistan just finished playing a two-Test series against South Africa on home soil, which ended as a 1-1 draw.
The two sides will now face each other in a three-match T20I series from October 28 to November 1, before playing three ODIs between November 4 and 8.
After that, Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series from November 11 to 15.
This will be followed by a T20I tri-series with Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe from November 17 to 29.
