Former Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur has called spin-bowling all-rounder Shadab Khan a “match-winner with the ball”.
Shadab hasn’t represented the men in green lately as he has been recovering from shoulder surgery.
The injury caused him to miss Pakistan’s T20I tour of Bangladesh, the white-ball tour of the West Indies, and the T20I tri-series against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Afghanistan.
He also failed to recover in time for the 2025 Asia Cup, where the men in green were defeated by India in the final.
“Shadab Khan gives you incredible depth. Great fielder, very good batsman, great cricket thinker, and on his day, a match-winner with the ball,” he said in a video posted by respected journalist Saj Sadiq on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a home series against South Africa from October 12 to November 8.
The series will consist of two Tests, three T20Is, and three ODIs.
