Pakistan pace bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi: “I keep saying – one needs to have the right vision. My performance is good and consistent. I’m not going to change. I am Shaheen and will remain Shaheen”

Pakistan left-arm seamer Shaheen Shah Afridi firmly believes his performances have been “good and consistent” lately.
He noted that he is “not going to change” and will continue playing his own brand of cricket.
During the T20I tri-series against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Afghanistan, Afridi took four wickets in four matches at an average of 19.50 and an economy rate of 5.57.
He performed even better in the 2025 Asia Cup, finishing as Pakistan’s top wicket-taker with 10 wickets in seven games at an average of 16.40 and an economy rate of 6.60.
“I keep saying – one needs to have the right vision. My performance is good and consistent. I’m not going to change. I am Shaheen and will remain Shaheen,” he told Geo News.
Afridi will undoubtedly aim to sustain his red-hot form in the forthcoming home series against South Africa.
Pakistan will host South Africa for two Tests, three T20Is, and three ODIs, which will take place from October 12 to November 8.
