Pakistan bowling coach Ashley Noffke said the pace trio of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Hasan Ali know exactly what they need to improve.

Afridi and Rauf have been active regularly in Pakistan’s recent white-ball assignments, while Hasan has been used sporadically.

During the T20I tri-series against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Afghanistan, Afridi took four wickets in four games at an average of 19.50 and an economy rate of 5.57.

“In terms of Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, and the rest of the bowling group, they’ve been very honest about the areas they want to improve and about their strengths. We’re trying to strike a balance between those aspects, and the boys have been getting better and better. We’re building nicely” Noffke was quoted as saying by Geo Super.

Pakistan are now involved in the 2025 Asia Cup, which is being held in the UAE.

So far, Afridi has claimed six wickets in five games at an average of 21.16 and an economy rate of 7.54, while Rauf has taken six wickets in three matches at an average of 13.66 and an economy rate of 7.68.

In the group stage, Pakistan beat Oman and the UAE, but lost to India as well.

They still managed to make it to the Super Four, where they have fallen to India and defeated Sri Lanka.

Pakistan’s next match will be against Bangladesh on September 25 in Dubai.
