Up-and-coming batsman Haseebullah Khan has dismissed rumours that he is planning to switch allegiance from Pakistan to England.
There had been speculation that Haseebullah has travelled to England to kickstart the process of playing for the country.
However, the 22-year-old made it clear that he went to England to play county cricket and remains “fully committed” to representing Pakistan with the “utmost dedication and passion”.
“I would like to inform you all that I have arrived in England in connection with my domestic county contract and sponsorship obligations. I remain fully committed to representing my country, Pakistan, with utmost dedication and passion,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
“I kindly request everyone to refrain from spreading false rumours.”
Haseebullah recently featured in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and scored seven runs in the one game he played for the Quetta Gladiators.
After PSL 10, he did not take part in Pakistan’s T20I series against Bangladesh in Lahore, the T20I tour of Bangladesh, and the white-ball tour of the West Indies.

Following this, they will take part in the 2025 Asia Cup, which will be played in the UAE from September 9 to 28.
