Sarfaraz Ahmed: “I made you train, and this [comeback] is the result of it”

Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed played a crucial role in helping fast bowler Hasan Ali return to the national team.
He revealed how he made Hasan train and regain his form, which eventually led to him putting up strong performances in domestic cricket and getting recalled to the Pakistan squad.
“I made you train, and this [comeback] is the result of it,” the former captain was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Hasan was on fire in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL), finishing as the joint second-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets in 10 matches for the Karachi Kings at an average of 20.47 and an economy rate of 9.03.
After PSL 10 ended, he made the most of his Pakistan recall, taking eight wickets, which included a career-best five-wicket haul, in Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh at an average of 11.12 and an economy rate of 9.53.
Pakistan toured Bangladesh for another three-match T20I series after this, but Hasan didn’t feature in it as he was playing for the Birmingham Bears in the Vitality Blast.
However, the 31-year-old from Gujranwala returned to action action for the men in green in their tour of the West Indies.
During the three-match T20I series, he picked up one wicket in two games at an average of 86 and an economy rate of 12.28.
As for the ODI series, he ended up with two wickets in two matches at an average of 47.50.
