Pakistan left-arm spinner Imad Wasim has made it clear that he is done playing international cricket and has no intentions of making another comeback.
Imad returned to represent the men in green in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where he took three wickets in three games at an average of 14.66 and an economy rate of four.
Six months later, he pulled the curtains down on his international career and has now shut down any chance of playing for his country again in the future.
“I’m done, I’m done. I just want to enjoy my cricket. I’m just enjoying it to be honest. You can see in PSL, a lot of celebrations, I’m just loving it. That part of my life and career, I want to enjoy it for like three, four, five years,” the 36-year-old told PakPassion.
Imad recently featured in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and picked up 14 wickets in 11 matches for Islamabad United at an average of 19.85 and an economy rate of 7.12.
After PSL 10, Pakistan faced Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series in Lahore and triumphed 3-0.
They then toured Bangladesh for three T20Is, but ended up losing 2-1.
As for the recently-concluded tour of the West Indies, the men in green came away with mixed results as they won the T20I series 2-1, but suffered a 2-1 defeat in the ODI series.
