Salman Ali Agha said he never unfollowed Pakistan batsman Babar Azam on Instagram

Salman Ali Agha: “I never followed Babar Azam on Instagram, so there is no question of unfollowing him. People just make things up… We both laugh at such rumours”

Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha dismissed rumours that he unfollowed batsman Babar Azam on Instagram.

He noted there is no truth to the claim, adding that it is simply people just making things up.

Salman added that he and Azam actually “laugh at such rumours”.

“I never followed Babar Azam on Instagram, so there is no question of unfollowing him. People just make things up… We both laugh at such rumours,” the 31-year-old was quoted as saying by ARY News.

Azam recently featured in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he captained the Peshawar Zalmi and amassed 288 runs in 10 games, which included three fifties, at an average of 36 and a strike-rate of 128.57.

After PSL 10, he was left out of Pakistan’s squad for their three-match T20I series against Bangladesh.

He also missed out on the tour of Bangladesh, where the men in green lost the T20I series 2-1.

Pakistan are now touring the West Indies, but Azam was overlooked for the T20I series once again.

However, he is currently playing in the three-match ODI series and started off with a solid knock of 47 in the 1st ODI, which the men in green won by five wickets.

The 2nd ODI will be held on August 10 in Trinidad.
