Mohammad Rizwan: “The youngsters are performing really well – Ali Raza, for instance, has impressed”

Pakistan ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan has been very impressed with the performances of rising star Ali Raza.
Raza, who is one of Pakistan’s most exciting pace prospects, lit up the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) as he showed off his superb wicket-taking capabilities.
Playing for the Peshawar Zalmi, the 17-year-old snapped up 12 wickets in nine matches at an average of 25.25 and an economy rate of 9.18.
“The youngsters are performing really well – Ali Raza, for instance, has impressed,” Rizwan, who captained the Multan Sultans in PSL 10, was quoted as saying by A Sports.
After the PSL, Pakistan faced Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series, which they won 3-0. However, Raza was left out of the squad.
The talented teenager was overlooked once again when the men in green toured Bangladesh, where they lost the T20I series 2-1.
Pakistan are now touring the West Indies and won the T20I series 2-1.
Next up will be the three-match ODI series, which will get underway on August 9 in Trinidad.
