Salman Ali Agha: “Hasan Ali has been phenomenal – people are saying he’s bowling like it’s 2017 again. His hard work is paying off”

Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha said pace bowler Hasan Ali’s “hard work is paying off” as he has been bowling phenomenally.
Hasan is back in the national team after a string of strong performances in domestic cricket and the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL).
In PSL 10, the 31-year-old finished as the joint second-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets in 10 matches for the Karachi Kings at an average of 20.47 and an economy rate of 9.03.
He then featured in Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh and claimed eight wickets, which included a career-best five-wicket haul, at an average of 11.12 and an economy rate of 9.53.
However, the Gujranwala native missed the tour of Bangladesh as he was playing for the Birmingham Bears in the Vitality Blast.
“Hasan Ali has been phenomenal – people are saying he’s bowling like it’s 2017 again. His hard work is paying off,” Salman was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan are now touring the West Indies for three T20Is and three ODIs.
In the T20I series, which the men in green won 2-1, Hasan picked up one wicket in two games at an average of 86 and an economy rate of 12.28.
He is now set to feature in the ODI series, which begins on August 9 in Trinidad.
