Mike Hesson: “He’s a high-quality player”

Pakistan white-ball head coach Mike Hesson has called in-form batsman Sahibzada Farhan a “high-quality player”.
Farhan has been absolutely unstoppable lately as he has been a run-scoring machine in both domestic cricket and at the international level.
Recently, the 29-year-old was in action for Islamabad United in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and ended up being the highest run-scorer with 449 runs in 12 games, which included a century and three fifties, at an average of 37.41 and a strike-rate of 152.20.
He then featured in Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh in Lahore and accumulated 75 runs in two games, which included a career-best knock of 74, at an average of 37.50 and a strike-rate of 166.66.
Farhan didn’t slow down at all during Pakistan’s tour of Bangladesh as he walloped 63 runs in the one T20I he played.
Hesson, who coached Islamabad United in PSL 10, acknowledged that Farhan has been in sublime form and wants him to keep scoring big runs going forward.
“He’s a high-quality player,” he was quoted as saying by TOK Sports on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan are now touring the West Indies for three T20Is and three ODIs.
In the T20I series, Farhan accumulated 91 runs, which included a top score of 74, at an average of 30.33 and a strike-rate of 126.38.
Pakistan won the T20I series 2-1.
The ODI series will start on August 9 in Trinidad.
