
Pakistan all-rounder Faheem Ashraf: “Since last September, I’ve been working hard on improving my bowling – I’m really glad to see it paying off now”

Pakistan all-rounder Faheem Ashraf said he has been working hard to improve his bowling since September 2024.
Ashraf’s efforts behind the scenes have really paid off as he has consistently taken wickets as of late.
During the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL), the 31-year-old was the joint second-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets in 12 matches for the Quetta Gladiators, which included a five-wicket haul, at an average of 20.52 and an economy rate of 11.19.
He also scored 163 runs at an average of 20.37 and a strike-rate of 155.23.
Following PSL 10, Faheem featured in Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh in Lahore and claimed three wickets at an average of 22.33 and an economy rate of 7.44.
Batting-wise, he finished with 12 runs at an average of 12 and a strike-rate of 150.
The Kasur native then toured Bangladesh with the men in green and picked up three wickets at an average of 20.66 and an economy rate of 7.75.
He also had an impact with the bat, amassing 60 runs, which included a career-best knock of 51, at an average of 20 and a strike-rate of 136.36.

Pakistan are now touring the West Indies for three T20Is and three ODIs.
In the T20I series, Faheem went wicketless but made 25 runs at an average of 12.50 and a strike-rate of 192.30.
Pakistan won the T20I series 2-1.
The ODI series will get underway on August 9 in Trinidad.
