Australia opening batsman David Warner has praised Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali for the amount of energy he brings when bowling.

Additionally, he lauded the 31-year-old for his knowledge of the game, describing it as “phenomenal”.

Warner’s comments come after he played alongside Hasan while captaining the Karachi Kings in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Hasan ended the tournament as the joint second-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets in 10 matches at an average of 20.47 and an economy rate of 9.03.

Warner, meanwhile, scored 368 runs in 11 games, which included three fifties, at an average of 33.45 and a strike-rate of 153.97.

“Hasan Ali just brings so much energy, and the knowledge he has of the game is phenomenal,” Warner was quoted as saying by ARY News.

After PSL 10 ended, Hasan represented Pakistan in their three-match T20I series against Bangladesh in Lahore and took eight wickets, which included a career-best five-wicket haul, at an average of 11.12 and an economy rate of 9.53.

He missed the tour of Bangladesh that followed as he was playing for the Birmingham Bears in the Vitality Blast.

Hasan returned to Pakistan’s team for the ongoing tour of the West Indies, which consists of three T20Is and three ODIs.

The men in green hold a 1-0 lead in the T20I series after winning the first match by 14 runs.

The 2nd T20I between Pakistan and the West Indies will be held on August 3 in Lauderhill.
