Australia opening batsman David Warner has lauded Pakistan left-arm seamer Mir Hamza, saying he “has a great skill set”.

Hamza has been in and out of the Pakistan team over the years as he has played seven Tests in total, with his debut coming in 2018 and his most recent match being in January 2025.

Warner’s praise for the 32-year-old comes after he played alongside him while captaining the Karachi Kings in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL).

In nine matches, Hamza picked up 10 wickets at an average of 23.40 and an economy rate of 7.35.

“He has a great skill set,” Warner was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.

After PSL 10, Pakistan went up against Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series in Lahore, which they won 3-0.

They then toured Bangladesh, but were beaten 2-1 in the T20I series.

Currently, Pakistan are touring the West Indies for three T20Is and three ODIs.

They won the T20I series 2-1.

As for the ongoing ODI series, it is tied at 1-1 going into the 3rd ODI on August 12 in Trinidad.
