Pakistan power-hitter Mohammad Haris has made it clear that there is no rivalry between him and left-arm seamer Shaheen Shah Afridi.
He noted that when he goes up against the 25-year-old, it is nothing more than a good battle.
Haris was recently in action for the Peshawar Zalmi in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and amassed 247 runs in 10 matches, which included a top score of 87, at an average of 27.44 and a strike-rate of 148.79.
As for Afridi, he captained the Lahore Qalandars and finished as the highest wicket-taker in PSL 10 with 19 wickets in 13 games at an average of 16.42 and an economy rate of 7.76.
Thanks to his brilliant bowling, the Qalandars went on to win the tournament.
“Shaheen is like a brother. Playing hard against good bowlers does not mean there is a rivalry,” Haris was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
After PSL 10 ended, Haris took part in Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, while Afridi was not included in the team.
The 24-year-old did exceptionally well with the bat, accumulating 179 runs, which included a career-best 107 not out, at an average of 89.50 and a strike-rate of 201.12.
The men in green won the series 3-0.
