Pakistan big-hitting batsman Khushdil Shah said he has had to make three to four comebacks over the last six years.
He noted that during the times he was out of the team, he worked hard on eliminating his flaws so that he could perform at his best.
“I’ve had to make three or four comebacks in these six years. Sometimes, I was just the 12th man. But I’ve always worked on my flaws so that whenever I get a chance, I can deliver for the team,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Khushdil pointed out that he has constantly been criticised, but pays no attention to it as he feels his critics don’t know anything about his performances.
“I’ve always faced criticism. Had I received backing, people wouldn’t have mocked me. What do critics on social media know about my performances? They should first review my past records – how I earned my place. I’m no one’s relative – not a cricketer’s son, nor a politician’s cousin. I come from a humble, respectable family,” he said.
