Pakistan fast bowling icon Shoaib Akhtar believes wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan should make a documentary of himself losing 40 kilograms in 100 days.
Azam has long been criticised for being overweight, but has worked hard to get fitter over the years.
However, Akhtar feels the 26-year-old can get his critics off his back if he were to lose a significant amount of weight in a very short period of time.
“If I were in his place, I’d make a documentary on myself of losing 40 kg in 100 days,” the Rawalpindi Express was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Azam recently represented Islamabad United in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and mustered 66 runs in seven games at an average of 11 and a strike-rate of 101.53.
After PSL 10, Pakistan faced Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series, but Azam was left out of the squad.
The men in green won the series 3-0.
