Former Pakistan pacer Abdur Rauf has picked Naseem Shah as the “most consistent bowler” in the national team as of late.

Rauf has been particularly impressed with the 22-year-old’s ability to maintain an excellent line and length when bowling.

Recently, Naseem was in action in Pakistan’s ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, and took three wickets in three matches at an average of 60.33.

He then featured in the 2025 Champions Trophy and ended up with two wickets in two games at an average of 50.

Following this, he was involved in Pakistan’s limited overs tour of New Zealand and picked up three wickets in three ODIs at an average of 38.

“The other key player, in my opinion, is Naseem Shah. He has been Pakistan’s most consistent bowler lately, with great control over his line and length,” Rauf told the Times of India.

Most recently, Naseem was in action for Islamabad United in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Prior to the tournament being postponed indefinitely, he had taken nine wickets in eight games at an average of 29 and an economy rate of 8.41.
