India spinner Piyush Chawla has selected Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha as the biggest threat in the national team.
Chawla noted that Salman is “an attacking batsman” who “can change the course of a game on his day”.
Recently, the 31-year-old featured in Pakistan’s ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, and amassed 219 runs in three matches, which included a career-best 134, at an average of 73.
He was then involved in the 2025 Champions Trophy and finished with 61 runs at an average of 30.50.
“Salman Ali Agha is the biggest threat from the Pakistan team. He’s the kind of player who can change the course of a game on his day. He’s an attacking batsman, and we have seen what he is capable of,” Chawla was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan were knocked out in the group stage of the Champions Trophy after losing to New Zealand and India.
Their final game against Bangladesh was washed out, meaning they failed to win a single match throughout the tournament.
Pakistan will now embark on a tour of New Zealand, where they will play five T20Is and three ODIs from March 16 to April 5.
