Hasan Ali: “He will do a lot for Pakistan”

Veteran fast bowler Hasan Ali believes opening batsman Saim Ayub “will do a lot for Pakistan” in his career.
Ayub is currently sidelined with a fractured ankle, which he sustained during the two-Test series against South Africa.
Prior to his injury, he had been in sensational form as he had scored three ODI centuries and a career-best 98 not out in T20Is, all of which came during Pakistan’s tours of Zimbabwe and South Africa.
The 22-year-old’s injury caused him to miss the two-Test series against the West Indies, the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, and the 2025 Champions Trophy.
Hasan hopes Ayub stays healthy going forward and has backed him to score plenty of runs for the men in green in the future.
“He will do a lot for Pakistan,” the 30-year-old was quoted as saying by TOK Sports on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan crashed out in the group stage of the Champions Trophy as they lost to New Zealand and India.
Their final game against Bangladesh was washed out, meaning they went winless throughout their campaign.
Next up for the men in green will be a white-ball tour of New Zealand, where they will play five T20Is and three ODIs from March 16 to April 5.
