Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh doesn’t think Pakistan all-rounder Faheem Ashraf poses much of a threat as he only averages 11.18 with the bat in ODIs.
Faheem was recently recalled to the national team and made his comeback in the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa.
In the one match he played, he scored 22 runs and went wicketless.
As for the 2025 Champions Trophy, he didn’t get to play a single game.
“Right now, if we look at Faheem Ashraf, his average is [11.18]. I don’t think he can pose a threat to the opposing team,” Harbhajan said on his YouTube channel as quoted by A Sports.
Pakistan failed to get out of the group stage in the Champions Trophy as they lost to New Zealand and India.
Their final game against Bangladesh was abandoned due to rain, which meant the men in green went winless throughout the tournament.
Next up for the men in green will be a limited overs tour of New Zealand, where they will play five T20Is and three ODIs from March 16 to April 5.
