Younis Khan: “We have experienced and top-quality batsmen like Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Rizwan”

Pakistan legend Younis Khan has called ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman “top-quality batsmen”.
All three of them are elite run-scorers and have performed brilliantly for the men in green in the past.
Recently, they were involved in the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, where the men in green made it to the final before losing to the Black Caps.
Rizwan amassed 171 runs in three matches, which included a top score of 122 not out, at an average of 85.50.
Zaman, who was making his international comeback, struck 135 runs, which included a top score of 84, at an average of 45.
Azam, meanwhile, mustered 62 runs at an average of 20.66.
All three of them were then involved in the 2025 Champions Trophy, with Azam scoring 83 runs in two games, which included a top score of 64, at an average of 43.50.
Rizwan finished with 49 runs at an average of 24.50, while Zaman struck 24 runs in the opening game against New Zealand before being ruled out for the remainder of the tournament with an oblique injury.
“We have experienced and top-quality batsmen like Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Rizwan,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan saw their Champions Trophy campaign come to an end in the group stage as they lost to New Zealand and India.
Their final match against Bangladesh was washed out.
Pakistan will now tour New Zealand and play five T20Is and three ODIs from March 16 to April 5.
