Pakistan left-arm seamer Shaheen Shah Afridi has made it clear that the national team is united, insisting that “there is no Babar (Azam) or Shaheen”.
The men in green have been failing to meet expectations as of late as during their ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, they lost to the Black Caps in the final.
Pakistan fared even worse in the 2025 Champions Trophy as they lost to New Zealand and India, which led to them getting eliminated in the group stage of the tournament.
Their last game against Bangladesh was washed out, meaning they went winless in their entire campaign.
Nonetheless, Afridi reiterated that all the players are playing for their country and not themselves.
“Here, there is no Babar (Azam) or Shaheen; there is only Pakistan. As long as there is negativity, there will be no progress anywhere,” the 24-year-old was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
