Pakistan spinner Noman Ali said he plans to learn a lot from newly-appointed spin bowling coach Abdur Rehman.

Noman has become one of Pakistan’s go-to spinners in Test cricket, where he has put up a number of impressive performances, especially at home.

During the two-Test series against the West Indies, the 38-year-old was virtually unstoppable as he picked up 16 wickets, which included two five-wicket hauls, at an average of 12.62.

Having Rehman as part of the coaching set-up now, Noman insisted that he wants to pick his brain in order to keep developing his own game.

“We will try to learn as much as we can from Abdur Rehman,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Since Noman only represents Pakistan in Test cricket, he was not picked in the team for the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa.

Additionally, he also wasn’t selected for the 2025 Champions Trophy, where Pakistan have been eliminated in the group stage after losing to New Zealand and India by 60 runs and six wickets respectively.

The men in green will conclude their Champions Trophy campaign after facing Bangladesh on February 27 in Rawalpindi.
