Pakistan left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir has admitted that big-hitting batsman Fakhar Zaman is extremely dangerous as he “can take apart any bowler”.
Zaman recently returned to the national team for the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, and made his presence felt with the bat.
In the three matches the 34-year-old played, he scored 135 runs, which included a top score of 84, at an average of 45 and a strike-rate of 120.53.
Currently, Zaman is involved in the 2025 Champions Trophy and started off by making 24 runs in the opening game against New Zealand.
“He’s that type of a player who on his day can take apart any bowler,” Amir said in a video posted by the Desert Vipers, an International League T20 (ILT20) team, on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Zaman suffered an injury in the Champions Trophy match against New Zealand, but it remains to be seen if he will miss any of the remaining games in the tournament.
Pakistan’s next match will be against India on February 23 in Dubai.
