Pakistan head coach Aaqib Javed is confident that picking Faheem Ashraf for the 2025 Champions Trophy was the right move as the all-rounder “can bowl with pace and also bat”.
Faheem was back in action for the men in green during their ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa.
In the one match he played, he scored 22 runs but went wicketless.
“Faheem Ashraf is an all-rounder and a good option for us. He can bowl with pace and also bat, making him a valuable choice that we can utilise when needed,” Aaqib was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan lost to New Zealand in the ODI tri-series final and will now be involved in the Champions Trophy, which will take place from February 19 to March 9.
