Younis Khan: “On the bowling front, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah will be essential fast bowlers for Pakistan”

Iconic Pakistan batsman Younis Khan said Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah “will be essential fast bowlers” during the 2025 Champions Trophy.
Afridi and Naseem are the spearheads of the pace attack and will be expected to take lots of wickets, especially early on with the new ball.
Both bowlers were recently in action in the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, where Pakistan lost to the Black Caps in the final.
Afridi finished the tri-series with six wickets in three matches at an average of 33.16, while Naseem claimed three wickets at an average of 60.33.
With the Champions Trophy right around the corner, Younis is hoping the duo can cause lots of problems for the opposition batsmen.
“On the bowling front, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah will be essential fast bowlers for Pakistan,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
The Champions Trophy will be played from February 19 to March 9.
