
Pakistan seamer Shoaib Akhtar: “What is [the] PCB doing? I study world economics, and when I share my ideas with PCB officials, they call me crazy”

Iconic fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has revealed that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials call him crazy whenever he tries to share his ideas with them.
Akhtar didn’t specify what ideas he had given the PCB or which officials he had talked to, but noted that he studies world economics.
The Rawalpindi Express is one of the most lethal fast bowlers the country has ever produced and to this day, he still holds the record for the fastest ball ever bowled in international cricket at 161.3 kph (100.2 mph).
“What is [the] PCB doing? I study world economics, and when I share my ideas with PCB officials, they call me crazy,” he was quoted as saying by TOK Sports on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Pakistan team recently toured Australia, Zimbabwe and South Africa before returning home to take on the West Indies in a two-Test series.
Currently, the men in green are involved in an ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa.
After this, Pakistan will feature in the 2025 Champions Trophy, which will take place from February 19 to March 9.
