Ramiz Raja: “Naseem is bowling with great rhythm, and his pace is also up”

Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has noticed that fast bowler Naseem Shah’s bowling speed has increased.
In addition to praising the 21-year-old for unleashing faster deliveries, Ramiz also feels he looks in “great rhythm” when bowling.
During Pakistan’s series against Australia, Naseem took five wickets in three ODIs at an average of 31.60 before going on to claim one wicket in two T20Is at an average of 81.
He was rested for the tour of Zimbabwe, but returned for the trip to South Africa, where he started off with five wickets in three ODIs at an average of 28.
In the two-Test series that followed, he picked up four wickets in one match at an average of 31.50.
“Naseem is bowling with great rhythm, and his pace is also up,” Ramiz was quoted as saying on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Naseem wasn’t selected for Pakistan’s two-Test series against the West Indies in Multan, which ended as a 1-1 draw.
He was selected for the ongoing ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, but went wicketless in Pakistan’s opening match against New Zealand.
Following the ODI tri-series, Pakistan will feature in the 2025 Champions Trophy, which will be played from February 19 to March 9.
