Pakistan pace bowler Ihsanullah has questioned why he “didn’t receive the same treatment” as opening batsman Saim Ayub when he was injured.

Ihsanullah suffered elbow and shoulder injuries that kept him sidelined for over a year.

Ayub, meanwhile, fractured his ankle during Pakistan’s recent two-Test series against South Africa and was sent to London for treatment.

Ihsanullah said he doesn’t understand why players like Ayub are given preferential treatment and better treatment than other cricketers like himself.

“Saim Ayub has been sent to London, but why I didn’t receive the same treatment,” he was quoted as saying on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Ihsanullah made his comeback to domestic cricket at the Champions T20 Cup in December 2024 and took two wickets in four matches for the Dolphins at an average of 62.50.

As for Ayub, he missed Pakistan’s two-Test series against the West Indies, which ended as a 1-1 draw.

He has also been ruled out of Pakistan’s ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, and the 2025 Champions Trophy, which will take place from February 19 to March 9.
